Tuesday 1 SeptemberCommunity Café walk 2.5 Miles – 10:30 – SU722745 Meet at St John the Baptist Church, St John’s Road, Caversham. On road parking – 2 hour limit. 23, 28, 29 buses stop outside the church. A short walk over Caversham weir, Forbury Gardens, Reading Abbey and Oscar Wilde walk. Saturday 26 September Simplexity by Edward and Talor Chilvers – 15:00 Caversham’s Baptist Church, South Street, RG4 8HY. Edward and Talor return to Caversham’s Baptist Church for a special afternoon of music, photographs and meditation. Edward’s latest album of piano compositions is entitled Simplexity, and the couple have combined their talents to create an immersive event drawing on their vision.

There will be comfortable seating at the Baptist Church, and the performers list the event as phone free, and an opportunity to experience ‘deep listening, quiet reflection and a shared experience’. With a sell-out recital of Simplexity at London’s Steinway Hall, it is a great opportunity to let go of everyday stress and find tranquillity in the heart of Caversham.

Saturday 26 SeptemberSeptember Song – an evening of light entertainment – 19:30-21:30 Caversham Methodist, Gosbrook Road RG4 5AE. Caversham Methodist Churches host the Thames Valley Chorus, with guest artists Jessica Sierpowski, Imogen Kemsley and Joseph Haycocks at Gosbrook Road Methodist Church. A charity evening of light entertainment featuring songs from the shows amongst other musical items. Interval refreshment provided and facilities for charitable donations available.
